Description:    The Faison School is accepting applications for motivated individuals to work with our students as Teacher Assistants in our day school program. New staff members receive extensive mentoring and work as part of a larger educational team to support our students' learning objectives. Teacher Assistants are also expected to complete modules as part of an on-going professional development approach to support each student's instructional objectives. The Faison School is proud to house an ongoing professional development program to allow employees to further develop their own education and teaching expertise.

Qualifications:    Requirements for this position include: passion and experience working with children and young adults, possessing an enthusiastic and energetic demeanor, ability to progress in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by Faison that focus on receiving and utilizing teacher mentor feedback, a desire to teach, a minimum high school diploma and the ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred qualifications include: experience in educating children and young adults, knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, experience working with individuals with disabilities and a Bachelorís degree.
Compensation:    $22,300 annually payable semi-monthly

Internship - Student Supply, Plan, & Data Display Auditor [ apply. ]

Description:    General description of duties Ė The Student Supply, Plan, and Data Display Auditor will work with the Program Supervisor and Teachers in the Upper School Program, in order to ensure that students have all needed supplies (reinforcers, materials for target objectives, etc.), and that direct support staff have access to needed materials and the most up-to-date information (ex: Program Overview, Face Sheet, Data Sheets, etc.). In addition, the Auditor will assist the Program Supervisor in reviewing decrease behavior graphs and increase behavior program graphs to identify errors and accomplishments of staff responsible for graphing data.
  • 1. The Auditor will become familiar with 5 documents that pertain to individual students (ex: Program Overview, Behavior Data Sheet, etc.) and will demonstrate the ability to ensure that those included on the studentsí clipboards are the most up-to-date v

The Faison School is accepting applications for motivated individuals to work with our students as Teacher Assistants in our Summer Program. New staff members receive extensive mentoring and work as part of a larger educational team to support our students' learning objectives.

The Summer Program Training runs Monday - Friday, June 16 - 27. The School is closed the week of June 30. The Summer Program runs from July 7 - August 15. Staff must be able to complete two week training period.

Teacher Assistants are also expected to complete modules as part of an on-going professional development approach to support each student's instructional objectives.
